If you have had to leave Canada pursuant to a removal order, you will not be permitted to return unless you file an Authorization to Return to Canada, also known as an ARC. A removal order may be issued to refused refugee claimants or individuals who have overstayed the term of their temporary visa in Canada or have been asked to leave Canada for a variety of reasons.
The ARC must outline the basis for the applicant’s failure to depart from Canada before the departure order became enforceable. The ARC must also contain the reason for your request to re-enter Canada.
